Emotional Balance & Inner Calm Retreat

Slow Down, Reconnect & Restore Your Inner Balance

Sometimes life becomes so full that we gradually lose connection with ourselves. We continue working, caring and moving forward, while underneath we may feel restless, emotionally overwhelmed or simply tired of always having to be “on”.

The Emotional Balance & Inner Calm Retreat offers five days to step away from that rhythm. Through personalised Ayurveda, calming treatments, yoga, pranayama, meditation, nourishing food and the peaceful nature of Torres de Selma, we create the space for body and mind to slow down and settle.

This is not about filling your days with activities or forcing yourself to relax. There is time to sleep, walk through the forest, sit beside the natural swimming pond, read or simply do nothing. Sometimes space is exactly what we need.

Your Personal Ayurvedic Journey

Your retreat begins with an individual consultation with our Ayurvedic Doctor, who considers your constitution (Prakriti), current imbalances (Vikriti), digestion, sleep, energy, lifestyle and emotional wellbeing.

From this assessment, a personalised programme is created. Depending on your individual needs, this may include Ayurvedic nutrition, herbal preparations and traditional therapies such as Abhyanga, Shirodhara, Shiroabhyanga and Marma Therapy. Your treatments can be adjusted throughout your stay as your body begins to respond.

Deep Rest & Emotional Balance

Many of us have become so accustomed to stress that we no longer recognise what deep relaxation feels like. Even when the body stops, the mind continues planning and analysing.

Warm herbal oils, rhythmic touch, meditation, gentle yoga and pranayama help create the conditions for the nervous system to gradually settle. The intention is not to make yourself relax, but to give yourself enough time and quiet for relaxation to happen naturally.

Emotional balance does not mean never experiencing difficult emotions. It means creating enough inner space to experience them without constantly being carried away by them. As the external noise becomes quieter, you may begin to recognise what drains your energy, where you hold tension and what genuinely restores you.

Nourishment & Nature

Fresh Ayurvedic meals, prepared with seasonal, local and organic ingredients whenever possible, support your retreat from within. Eating becomes part of the slower rhythm: sitting down, tasting your food and giving your body time to receive it.

Nature is equally important. Between treatments, there is time to walk through the forest, rest beside the natural swimming pond or find a quiet place in the gardens. We deliberately leave space in the programme because not every moment needs to be filled.

Who Is This Retreat For?

This retreat is for anyone who feels that life has become too full, fast or demanding and longs for genuine time to slow down. It may be particularly supportive during periods of prolonged stress, emotional overload or significant life changes, or simply when you feel you have lost some connection with yourself.

You do not need to wait until you are exhausted before giving yourself permission to rest.

More Than Relaxation

Six days offer more than a temporary escape. They give you the opportunity to experience what a slower rhythm and deeper sense of balance can actually feel like.

Inner calm does not mean that life around you becomes quiet. It means rediscovering a quieter place within yourself—and learning how to return to it.

Come to Torres de Selma, slow down and give yourself the space to reconnect with yourself.
